The prepaid phones have to be activated on a regular basis, which means they can only be used for two years.
AT&&%;s $40 prepaid plan expires next month.
The $10 activation fee can be used to buy the phone or the phone’s wireless carrier prepaid card.
If the phone is used for at least two years, you’ll also pay $5 per year in taxes for the phone and the phone company, as well as the phone carrier.
